LBVP: A Lightweight Batch Verification Protocol for Fog-Based Vehicular Networks Using Self-Certified Public Key Cryptography

چکیده
To achieve efficient vehicular network communication and service, researchers proposed fog-based networks (FVNs). One of the prerequisites for developing large-scale FVNs is ensuring security privacy entire environment. However, existing schemes exist considerable calculation costs and/or vulnerabilities. Therefore, to promote FVN authentication, we propose a lightweight protocol using self-certified public key cryptography. In protocol, trusted authority does not need participate in authentication process between vehicle fog node online. And can dynamically update its login password pseudonym, without performing complicated interactive steps with authority. addition, our supports batch verification, which significantly improves system efficiency. A detailed analysis reveals that meet requirements while resisting common types attack. Calculation overhead comparisons further prove exhibits better performance than related schemes.

Self-certified Public Key Cryptography for Resource-constrained Sensor Networks
As sensor networks continue to become one of the key technologies to realize ubiquitous computing, promising to revolutionize our ability to sense and control the physical environment, security remains a growing concern. The resource-constrained characteristics of sensor nodes, the ad-hoc nature of their deployment, and the vulnerability of wireless communications in general pose a need for uni...

It is widely acknowledged that security will play a key role in the successful design and deployment of wireless sensor networks (WSN). A prerequisite for achieving security is the ability to dynamically establish a secret key joint to two nodes. Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) has emerged as a suitable public key cryptographic foundation for WSN. This letter describes an efficient ECCbased m...

As an important component of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), vehicular ad hoc networks can provide safer and more comfortable driving circumstance for the drivers. Pseudonyms certificate and group-oriented signature are two most widely adopted privacypreserving technique in VANET. However, the two methods exists many efficiency flaws which affect their application. To overcome the abo...
متن کاملA lightweight identity authentication protocol for vehicular networks
Vehicle handover from one road-side unit to another is a common phenomenon in vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). Authenticating vehicles effectively is the key to success of VANETs. Recently, Li and Liu proposed a lightweight identity authentication protocol for VANETs, which was claimed to integrate efficiency and security. However, in this paper, we show that their protocol is vulnerable to ...

Verification of claimed identity becomes a problem of growing significance nowadays, as the number of e-commerce transactions grows rapidly and new information distribution channels are created by companies and institutions of all kinds. As most of them rely or make a use of a public network, such as the Internet, security of transferred data and information in most cases requires authorization...
